The Veolia Foundation

Since 2015, the Veolia Foundation has provided valuable financial support to PagaBags. Created in 2004, the Foundation has supported efforts to improve social and economic inclusion and protect the environment, in France and abroad.

Veolia’s backing has enabled us to provide business and skills training to the women’s associations that work with us. Having access to a job and earning a regular, decent salary empowers these women to improve their own lives and those of their children.

Thanks to this financial support, we have also been able to expand our product selection, which means that we can hire more artisans at fair prices and help them share their traditional and beautiful designs with the world.

La Plomberie Gilibert

Plomberie Gilibert is a proud supporter of PagaBags. Located in the Rhône Valley, the company specializes in the installation of thermal and sanitation equipment.

Thanks to their support, we have been able to install running water in the workshop where our weavers in the Tigme Pagaba Women’s Association work. This investment will considerably improve the working conditions for the women who, until now, were compelled to collect water from one fountain in the center of the neighborhood. The new tap is indispensable both to their professional activities (dying, washing, etc.) but more importantly to their general well-being and health.

Plomberie Gilibert is also providing clean water to the entire team throughout the year.

Initiatives de Développement Stratégique (IDS)

IDS is an association committed to international cooperation and solidarity. The association has been present in Burkina Faso since 2009 supporting the informal sector supporting inclusion for those in the informal sector, especially women. IDS is part of PagaBags’ creation story.

Today, IDS and PagaBags continue a rewarding collaboration. IDS provides invaluable advice and helps seek funding for PagaBags’ social investment aims.
