Bogolan, mon amour
PagaBags works to support and promote local traditional know-how in textiles in Burkina Faso. We especially are fans of Bogolan, a technique of dyeing cotton that uses plants, mud and roots to create warm earthy colors. We work with several artisans, each with his own, special touch!
Respect for people we work with
PagaBags is solidarity fashion project in partnership with the association of women weavers Tigme Pagaba and artisans in Burkina Faso. Launched in 2013, we try to help artisans by promoting their beautiful traditional know-how and artistry through fashion and design. Concerned about our environmental and health impact, we use organic cotton and organic or natural dyes. Committed to local economic development we pay our artisans well! and provide in the field professional training.
